Photo Guide

The key to a good portrait, is a good photo.

Most phones work well to capture a good image. Make sure the camera on your phone is clean, even wiping it with your sleeve will make all the difference.

If you are struggling to get a good photo, it my be a good idea to take a video instead. A screenshot can then be taken from the video and used to create a portrait.

TIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR PETS

● Best taken outside in natural daylight

● Good lighting is key, try and avoid big shadows

● Try and capture them looking straight on and at eye level

● Avoid making them look up or down, or taking at an angle

Ideally you want your pet looking forward, eyes open, ears forward and alert, with mouth fully closed or smiling

It may be a good idea to say certain phrases that will get your pets attention. For example, with my dog, saying words such as "walk" and "do you want a sweetie" will make her alert.

There may be limited or unclear photos for a pet that has passed away. I will always try my best to work with what is available, but please note that these may be less detailed.
